Jun 8, 2022 · Well I answered my own question. I took a 1 PRO off one of my firearms and compared it to the plate. The "footprint/holes" do line up however the plate has four "bosses/posts" and the R 1 PRO only has holes for two; and the bosses seem to be larger than the holes in the optic. Of course I could grind off the bosses but I like having at least two.
Probably because unless you're using a magnifier you don't notice the 2-3mm difference (many use popup BUS) But Sig offered no assistance other than confirm the Aimpoint Micro T1 mount footprint is the same as Romeo5.
